Now that we are through the first few weeks of the season and you have a settled team, you might be looking at how you can get an advantage over the other teams in the league. One way of doing this is looking at bringing in players who have a favourable fixture schedule. One team may play 3 or 4 more games than another over a short period so it’s a huge advantage to have these players in.
Remember the FHL UK Cup starts shortly so having players in who can give you a short boost by playing lots of games might be the difference between a first round exit and having a cup run all the way to the final.
Therefore the FHL UK scouting team have put together the below table showing how many games each team are scheduled to play over the next five gameweeks, starting with gameweek 4.
Guildford and Cardiff are top of the pile with 13 games each over the next five gameweeks, with Manchester and Fife only having 10 games over the same period. Therefore if you were to trade out a Fife player and bring in a Guildford player before the deadline on the 27th September then that player should have an extra three games to gather points.
Cardiff, Dundee and Glasgow also have two consecutive weeks across gameweek 7 and 8 where they play three games, so this could be a good time to bring in players from those teams.
Don’t forget though, even if a player has more games it doesn’t mean he will pick up points in those games. Only the best GM’s (or those who follow the posts on our site) will be able to pick those who are in good form.
