Manchester Storm have brought in Jeremy Brodeur to split time in goal with current goalie Hayden Lavigne. In previous years the majority of Elite League teams would have a number one goalie, who would play the majority of if not all games, then a back-up who wouldn’t play much at all. Times are changing though, and we have seen most teams have two goalies who are capable starting and keeping you in games every night.
Storm believe they have brought in strong competition with Jeremy Brodeur, son of hall of famer Martin Brodeur. He has moved around across different teams and leagues over the last few years but put up some solid numbers with Maine of the ECHL last year when he got a good consistent run in the team. Manchester should now be able to keep both goalies fresh and stick with the form player, however those GM’s who have Hayden Lavigne in the team will now need to consider if they want to keep him in now that his playing time will be reduced.
Brodeur is added in the game with an 8.0M rating.
