The Belfast Giants have strengthened their forward group with the signing of NIHL top scorer Grant Cooper from the Leeds Knights. Grant has so far put up a spectacular 70 points (35 goals and 35 assists) in just 30 games for Leeds so has come onto the radar of a number of Elite League teams.
Grant spent four seasons at the well known Clarkson University before turning professional last year with a spell in the ECHL. His numbers are comparable with a number of signings in the Elite league so it was a bit of a surprise Leeds managed to pick him up.
It’s unlikely he will continue the same level of production at Belfast with a big step up in competition but we have added him into the game with a 5.5M value
