The final of the FHL UK Shield competition was between two heavyweights in our FHL UK history. Last seasons FHL UK Shield winner “No Woman, No Krejci” managed by Lee Hodgkinson went up against our FHL UK League Winner for the last two seasons, Jon Newbould and his team “Yuill Ruddy Bast Ehrhardt”.
So was “Yuill Ruddy Bast Ehrhardt” going to complete an historic double this season or was “No Woman, No Krejci” going to retain their trophy?
It was victory for “Yuill Ruddy Bast Ehrhardt” by 76.4 points after strong weeks by both teams. Lets check who made the difference for the winning team.
It you take the totals of each teams forward lines then it was extremely close with 250 points playing 246. The win was secured with the performance of the goalies and defenceman with “Yuill Ruddy Bast Ehrhardt” outscoring their opponents by 72.4 points. “No Woman, No Krejci” struggled in goal with Jackson Whistle’s ice time being significantly reduced since the arrival of Tyler Beskorowany.
