Player Scores
The player scores have now been updated after week 9, unless there are changes to the game sheets prior to the week change on Tuesday night.
It was more condensed at the top of the scoring charts this week with 23 players all within 15 fantasy points of each other. Rather than needing to have the top scorer to do well each week, you could put together a good weekly score by having as many players from the top 25 as possible. There is also a good mix of players from different teams across the top 10.
Ryan Valentini was the only player to score three goals over the week and he is top of the pile with 38 points. Guildford’s Ryan Tait and Fife’s Kyle Osterberg are second with 36 points after both scoring once with three assists. The Clan’s Nate Kallen is the top scoring defenceman with 35 points, with Jake Kielly (27.8 points) and Kevin Carr (27.7 points) being the top two goalie’s.

League Standings
In what was a fairly low scoring week, Daniel Jackson’s “Newark Trashers IHC” gained significantly on the rest of the league by scoring 312.9 points for the week. To put it into context, only 9 other teams managed to get within 100 points of their score and they were 50 points clear of anyone else.
GM Jackson must have been reading our fixture preview last week as he picked Ryan Tait as his captain knowing that Guildford were playing three times in the week. Tait scored 72 points and he was helped by Kyle Osterberg (36 points), Nate Kallen (35 points), David Clements (25 points) and Shane Owen (24.2 points).
We’ve had significant changes at the top of the table with last week’s leaders, the “Blocked Capitals” having a poor week with only 118.3 points. This dropped them down to tenth in the league and moving up to first is Paul Edwards’ “The Kessel Run” after scoring 240 points in the week, good for fourth overall. They are the first team to get over 2000 points this season and have a 32.3 point lead at the top. Again we have someone who read our fixture preview having made Ben O’Connor captain for the week, while also having Lewis Hook and Ryan Tait in the line-up. This week’s top scorers “Newark Trashers IHC” move all the way up to second from 26th.
Roster Moves
We have had three new defenceman moving into the league over the last week with all showing that they have some good offensive upside. First up is Dominic Cormier who has joined the Sheffield Steelers after starting the year in Norway. He has moved around between a number of teams across his first three professional seasons and seems to have settled in quickly in Sheffield having had an assist in each of his first two games. If he continues that pace then his 6.5M is great value.
Next we have Nottingham’s new signing Simon Després who joins with an eye-catching resume having played 193 games in the NHL for the Anaheim Ducks and Pittsburgh Penguins whilst having 0.22 points per game. He has since played in the top leagues across Europe while continuing to score points from the blueline. He has been added into the game with a 7.0M value although there is scope for him to exceed that. The last signing of the week is Alex Roach who has joined the Clan after spending most of his career in Germany with the majority of it in the top DEL league. He hasn’t scored as many points compared to his other signing counterparts but he is joining from a higher level than the Elite league so should still be one of the top performers for the Clan. We’ve added him into the game with a 6.0M value
Upcoming Fixtures
We have all teams back in action this week with more games than usual to rack up those point totals. We start off on Wednesday with Coventry hosting Cardiff and Guildford hosting Glasgow. Manchester start off their Scottish road trip with a visit to Dundee, before playing Fife and Glasgow over the weekend. Glasgow, who also play three times this week, are away in Belfast on Saturday in addition to the other games already mentioned. Dundee travel to Coventry on Saturday in what is each’s final game of the week.
Two other teams playing three times this week are the Cardiff Devils, fresh off their European exploits, and the Guildford Flames again. They play each other on Saturday while Cardiff host Fife and Guildford host Sheffield on Sunday.
Don’t forget you can make trades for week 10 up until the trade deadline at midnight on Tuesday night.
