Player Scores
The player scores have now been updated after week 20, unless there are changes to the game sheets prior to the week change on Tuesday night.
It isn’t a big surprise that we have another Sheffield heavy update in terms of scores this week after scoring 14 goals in their home-and-home against the the Clan. Add to that the four they scored against Coventry in the cup on Wednesday and that gives us three Steelers players all scoring above 50 points. Marc-Olivier Vallerand had three goals and 5 assists for 70 points, with Mitchell Balmas (66 points) and Daniel Ciampini (57 points) rounded out the top three. Johan Eriksson is the best of the rest with four goals across his two games to end the week with 51 points. Top defenceman is shared between Marcus Crawford and Josh Roach with 41 points each. The top goalies are Matt Greenfield and Ben Bowns who both had two wins in the week but Greenfield’s 26.8 points is 0.3 more than Bowns thanks to making three more saves.
In the overall scoring Marcus Crawford still leads the way but behind him we now had five Sheffield Steelers chasing him down. Unfortunately for all GM’s you can only have three players from each team so which three Sheffield players do you have?

League Standings
Our top scorer this week was “The Bazinators” who scored 436.2 points to take them to up to 142nd in the league standings. This isn’t the first time we have seen them in our team of the week honours and just like last time having Marc-Olivier Vallerand as captain paid dividends, with him picking up 140 points on his own. Add another 109 points from his Sheffield teammates Mitchell Balmas and Robert Dowd and you have already scored more than the majority of teams in the league. Most of the scoring was done up front with at least 30 points for Mathieu Lemay, Daniel Tedesco and Troy Lajeunesse.
In the overall standings Karl Seed’s “Ulett The Dogs Out” continue their push towards the top with 345.8 points scored in the week to take them up to second. They have closed to just under 100 points behind “Brexit Hockey”.
We can also now reveal our next monthly winner who scored the most points across the last five weeks. Congratulations to Simon Wareham and his team “The Zambronies” who scored 1,623.6 points and win a FHL UK branded puck. Second place was Sarah Eastwood’s “Haaralalalala” with 1599.8 points.
Roster Moves
We have had a busy week for roster activity in the Elite league with four new names to look over. First up is Patrick Harper who comes in to help cover Brett Neumann’s injury. Harper is small in stature at just 5’9″ and 150lbs and has moved around North America and Scandinavia across the last couple of seasons where he has put up solid if not spectacular points totals. However playing for the runaway leaders he is sure to get plenty of chances to put points on the board. He is added at 8.0M. Belfast have also tried to strengthen up front by bringing in Blake Speers who arrives with an impressive CV having played two games for the Arizona Coyotes in 2021/22. On top of that he has never iced below the AHL level in North America once he turned professional. The points production hasn’t really materialised but he is a step ahead of 99% of other Elite League players with his experience. He is added with a 9.0M value.
Rounding out the forward signings is Raymond Brice who has joined the Manchester Storm from Duisburg in the third tier of German hockey. As his points in Germany aren’t as high a compared to recent signings within the Elite League he is added at a quite low 5.5M. However, in his time in the ECHL the majority of his points were goals which are worth more fantasy points than assists. Lastly we have a couple of goalie moves, starting with news of another injury for Shane Owen. As a result the Fife Flyers have signed Dominik Salama who has had at least a 90% save percentage each of the last three seasons. He is added at 8.5M. Owen’s previous replacement was Kevin Lindskoug who has now been signed by Glasgow to replace Jake Kielly.
Matt Greenfield is now up to 146 selections at the start of week 20 with Brady Norrish up to 97 now. The biggest gainers this week were Gary Haden of the Glasgow Clan and Tyler Hinam of the Manchester Storm who both scored well over the last few weeks and have been brought in by 5 more teams. Hinam’s teammate Cam Critchlow has also been brought in by 3 more teams. It isn’t good news for two of our GM’s after they brought in Jake Kielly who was released by the Clan during the week.
Danny Kristo and Peter Crinella have both dropped off their scoring lately and have been shown the exit by the 4 of our GM’s over the last week.
Upcoming Fixtures
This week we have the second leg of the Guildford and Glasgow cup semi-final to determine who will play Sheffield in the final. This means both these teams will have three games this week with everyone else playing twice. After hosting Glasgow in the cup, the Flames then welcome Dundee on Saturday and Fife on Sunday to make it three home games in the week and be favourite for potential captain picks. The Clan face Belfast on Saturday before travelling back down south on Sunday to play the Panthers.
In the only game on Friday Cardiff are hosting the Coventry Blaze. The Devils then travel up to Manchester on Sunday whilst the Blaze welcome the Steelers, who host Manchester on the Saturday.
Don’t forget you can make trades for week 21 up until the trade deadline at midnight on Tuesday night.
