Player Scores
The player scores have now been updated after week 21, unless there are changes to the game sheets prior to the week change on Tuesday night.
We have a runaway leader this week and one of the highest weekly totals of the season with Colton Saucerman scoring 81 points from the Steelers blueline. His one goal and five assists included two powerplay assists and the game winning goal to boost his score. This takes him to tenth in the overall scoring for the season. Saucerman’s fellow Steelers defenceman Kevin Tansey is in a tie for second on 59 points after his three goals and one assist. He is tied with Fife’s Max Humitz who had three goals and three assists. Daniel Tedesco scored the most goals in the week with his four goals giving him 51 points and an average of 41 points over the last three weeks.
Top goalie this week is Matt Greenfield after he shut out the Storm to give him 49.4 points. No other goalie scored more than 27.7 for the week, but Shane Owen, Tyler Beskorowany, Eamon McAdam and Tyler Wall all scored more than 25 points.
In the overall scoring Marcus Crawford ‘s lead at the top of the standings has temporarily come to an end after Matt Greenfield’s 49.4 points take him to 596 overall and three points clear of Crawford. Mitchell Balmas is the only other player over 500 points.
As we see some familiar names at the top each week lets have a look who has scored well over the last five weeks who isn’t in the top 10 –
Josh Roach – the Giants defenceman has proven that when healthy he is one of the top scoring players in his position. The problem is being healthy but at the moment he is averaging 26.8 points per week
Troy Lajeunesse – Fife forward Lajeunesse has been a fairly consistent scorer all year without having any huge weeks. He is averaging 24.6 points per week.
Luke Lynch – Glasgow forward Lynch has hit form over the last three weeks with plenty of goals scored. He’s averaged 31 points over the last three weeks and 20.6 points over the last five weeks.

League Standings
Our top scorer this week was Alex Smith’s “Dronny Steelers” who scored a huge 460.5 points to take them to up to 57th in the league standings. Having our player of the week Colton Saucerman helped add 81 points and Charlie Curti added another 23 points from the blueline. In goal Tyler Beskorowany scored 25.7 points but it was up front where the bulk of the scoring was done. Daniel Tedesco, as captain, scored 102 points on his own, but there was help from Darien Craighead (40 points), Mitchell Balmas (40 points), Michael Pelech (34 points) and Troy Lajeunesse (33 points).
In the overall standings it is getting close at the top as Karl Seed’s “Ulett The Dogs Out” pulled another 55 points back on our long time leader “Brexit Hockey”. The gap is now down to 42 points as we head into the final third of the season. “The Kessel Run” is dropping back in third and are now over 100 points behind second.
Roster Moves
No new signings this week to add into the game but there was news that Sean Allen has left the Dundee Stars, so that means there are 22 GM’s who will need to bring in a replacement.
Not much change at the top of the selections this week although Mitchell Balmas good form has caught the attention of some GM’s as his ownership increased by 6. He is still only in 34 teams though which is low considering he is the third top scorer overall. Fife’s goal blitz this week will have pleased some GM’s as Kyle Osterberg has been traded in by 4 GM’s and Troy Lajeunesse has been traded in by 3 teams. Meanwhile with Great Britain playing over the weekend we had a number of players who were not playing for their Elite League teams. Evan Mosey, Robert Dowd, Robert Lachowicz, Ben Davies, Ben O’Connor and Mark Richardson all had drops in ownership prior to the week starting.
Upcoming Fixtures
This week we have more fixtures than usual with a full schedule on Valentines Day on Wednesday. Then across the weekend we have everybody playing twice apart from Glasgow and Belfast, who just have the one fixture each. Glasgow’s two games in the week are both against Coventry when they complete a home-and-home series over Wednesday and Friday. The Blaze complete their week with a home game against Guildford on Saturday. The Flames have a tough week with two games against Sheffield on either side of the game against Coventry.
The Panthers renew rivalries in Sheffield on Saturday but also have a pair of home games against Dundee and Fife. Belfast’s only games of the week are a home-and-home against Manchester with the Storm’s extra game being at home to Dundee. To round out this week’s theme we have Cardiff and Fife with a home-and-home with both then travelling away on Sunday to round out the schedule.
Don’t forget you can make trades for week 22 up until the trade deadline at midnight on Tuesday night.
