This season our scouting department will be giving an update prior to the start of each game week to give you all the information you need to get your team top of the standings.
Roster Moves
No new signings this week so lets move onto a selection update.
GM’s can’t make up their mind on Coventry goalie Mat Robson by the looks of it as he gained the most selections this week with five. This was despite dropping 4 selections the week before. He still ranks 11th overall in fantasy points so far even though he has cooled slightly recently. He is still producing 18.3 points per week over the last five weeks. Brendan Harms also has had an increase of five selections last week but his new GM’s will have been disappointed with a blank scoring week. Manchester Storm’s Alexis D’Aoust also had another four selections to make that 13 in two weeks now. He is now Storm’s top scorer and sixth in overall scoring.
It was a rare good week for Fife picking up a come from behind win in Manchester before leading till late on at home to Nottingham. However Lucas Chiodo leads the list in players dropped over the last week with six selections. Teammate Michael Cichy also dropped another two selections. Injured goalie duo Ryan Bednard and Ben Bowns drop by five and three selections respectively.
Who’s Hot?
We’ve looked at individual player form when looking at who is hot but lets look at the teams instead. If you can quickly spot the teams who are hitting form then it is likely the goalies will pick up more win points and defenceman/forwards will have more goals and assists. For example you want to load up your teams with those players on the Elite League teams playing well. Here are the teams ranked from top to bottom over the last five games –
1st – Belfast – four wins out of five
2nd – Sheffield – four wins out of five
3rd – Cardiff – three wins out of five
4th – Nottingham – three wins out of five
5th – Guildford – three wins out of five
6th – Coventry – two wins out of five
7th – Dundee – two wins out of five
8th – Manchester – one win out of five
9th – Fife – one win out of five
10th – Glasgow – one win out of five
Ok, our tip last week, Scott Conway, had a blank scoring week despite two Belfast home wins. Lets stick with a form team playing three times for this week, the Nottingham Panthers. They have home games against Glasgow and Guildford with a trip to Manchester as well. That’s two out the three worst teams in our form table. Their hottest scoring forward recently is Kristoff Kontos.
Upcoming Schedule
We start with some league and cup action on Wednesday with the Glasgow Clan travelling to Nottingham in their elimination cup game. On the same night Belfast are in Guildford in league play. All four of these teams will play three times this week while everybody else has just two games. There are two more games on Friday with Nottingham facing Guildford and Glasgow hosting Fife. Glasgow stay in Scotland and travel to Dundee on Saturday while Fife return home to face Cardiff. Rounding off Saturday’s play is Sheffield hosting Manchester while Belfast host Coventry.
On Sunday Manchester host Nottingham while the top two in the league play in Cardiff. Elsewhere Coventry host Dundee and Guildford play Sheffield.
