This season our scouting department will be giving an update prior to the start of each game week to give you all the information you need to get your team top of the standings.
Roster Moves
No new signings this week so lets look at the latest selection data.
With Ryan Bednard still out injured for Nottingham, it has been Jason Grande who has stepped up to start every game for the in-form Panthers. Our GM’s have taken notice and an extra nine GM’s brought him in last week. Jackson Whistle’s increased playing time for Belfast has also caught the notice of our GM’s with an extra seven trading for him. Finally Alexis D’Aoust also has an additional seven selections as his good form has taken him to the sixth highest points in the game.
On the other side the most traded away players are two of our injured goalies with Ryan Bednard and Evan Weninger both having dropped by twelve selections in the last week. They are still on the roster for 38 and 47 GM’s though.
Who’s Hot?
The FHL UK Shield competition starts this week giving everyone a chance of glory even if your league competition hasn’t gone to plan so far. So what do you need to win the Shield competition? How about some point scorers who are going under the radar as picking the same players as everyone else will likely mean you end up on the wrong side at some point. Lets check out who are the top scoring players over the last five weeks, but also have less than 40 selections. That’s currently taking out the top 37 players in terms of selections.
Maxim Golod – 2nd highest scorer with 161 points – 21 selections
Cooper Zech – 6th highest scorer with 127 points – 38 selections
Matt Alvaro – 7th highest scorer with 122 points – 14 selections
Jack Jacome – 9th highest scorer with 116 points – 10 selections
Charlie Curti – 10th highest scorer with 112 points – 20 selections
Brendan Harms – 11th highest scorer with 106 points – 35 selections
Mark Simpson – 12th highest scorer with 106 points – 5 selections
Gabe Bast – 14th highest scorer with 104 points – 31 selections
Mitch Fossier – 15th highest scorer with 103 points – 19 selections
Kristoff Kontos – 19th highest scorer with 99 points – 30 selections
You can see that the top ten players who meet that criteria are actually in the top nineteen overall scorers, showing there are plenty of options if you are looking for those differentials.
Our tip last week, Chase Gresock, gave us a great return of 37 points which was good enough for 8th highest in the week. This week we have Glasgow with three games overall and two of those are at home to Fife. None of Glasgow’s forwards are in particularly good form but lets take a punt on Mitchell Heard to discover some form this week.
