This season our scouting department will be giving an update prior to the start of each game week to give you all the information you need to get your team top of the standings.
Roster Moves
The most traded for player this week, for the third time running, is Nottingham goalie Jason Grande who picked up another 25 points during the week. After Grande we have Glasgow forward Mitchell Heard and Coventry forward Michael Regush who have both had an additional four selections in the week. If you are looking for some difference makers then both are in less than 39 teams at the moment.
We mentioned last week how Charlie Dodero had left Guildford, so it is no surprise that he is the most traded away player over the last week. Despite some strong form from Nottingham the next three in the list are all Panthers forwards. Mitch Fossier (4 selections), Didrik Henbrant (4 selections) and Sam Herr (3 selections). Fossier ended up with a great score of 34 points, while Herr managed 16 points and Henbrant just 7 points.
Who’s Hot?
We now have just three weeks remaining in league play and a lot of the successful teams have already identified the top players, so how do you catch them? You can take a few risks and look for those players who aren’t owned by a lot of other teams but have the potential to score some big points. Lets look at those players with the most points over the last five weeks but are only owned by 30 or less teams –
Tim Doherty – 163 points – 12 selections
Joey Martin – 154 points – 27 selections
Mitchell Heard – 129 points – 18 selections
Spencer Naas – 128 points – 20 selections
Ryan Hughes – 128 points – 22 selections
Mark Cooper – 116 points – 23 selections
Landon Bow – 116 points – 14 selections
Tyler Hinam – 113 points – 23 selections
Brandon Alderson – 112 points – 20 selections
David Goodwin – 108 points – 2 selections
Our tip for this week is a tricky one to call. You would automatically look towards a Cardiff player while they have three games, but two of those are against the title challengers and the other is against a Manchester team fighting for a playoff spot. Lets take a risk and go for Coventry forward Alessio Luciani who top scored last week with 53 points after having 33 points the week before. The Blaze have games in Dundee and at home to Fife.

Upcoming Schedule
We have a big discrepancy is games played this week with the Cardiff Devils playing three times, while Dundee play just once. Cardiff start the week off with a visit to Nottingham on Wednesday, before then returning home on Friday to play Belfast. After another day off they then travel to Manchester to play the Storm on Sunday. Dundee’s one game is at home to Coventry on Saturday. Glasgow’s two games are both at home this week so are worth noting for your team captain, however those games are against two of the title challengers, Nottingham and Sheffield.
Elsewhere Sheffield are hosting Manchester and Fife welcome Guildford on Saturday. On Sunday Guildford are on the road for the second time in two days as they travel to Belfast, while Coventry host Fife.
