This season our scouting department will be giving an update prior to the start of each game week to give you all the information you need to get your team top of the standings.
With one week left everyone should have used up all their remaining trades so lets look at what is left to play for across the FHL UK competitions –
FHL UK League
It is all to play for in the FHL UK League Competition this season as we head into the final weekend of games. Tom Coleman’s “Maple Flames” lead the way with 8,773.7 points on the season but Chris King’s “Subbuteo Kings” are only 36.8 points behind. Our top two have a bit of a gap to third but Karl Seed’s “Ulett The Dogs Out” and Mark Taylor’s “Haden Heard Bow” both scored over 450 points last week to give them a chance heading into the final week. They are 168.2 and 183.8 points behind respectively so may need to think outside the box for a captains pick in order to close the gap.
FHL UK Shield
We are down to the final two in the Shield competition with everything riding on the final week. Kelly Morgan’s “Pucking Legends” made it through to the final having beat Louise Isaac’s “Satans” last week. They will play Raymond Fryer’s “The Flying Puckhits” who beat Lamby’s Loons to make the final. The team’s were within ten points of each other last week so we can expect another close game this week.
FHL UK Cup
The FHL UK Cup was over in the middle of the season with Mark Taylor’s “Haden Heard Bow” beating Andy Dean’s “A Team Has No Name”.
ESPN Fantasy NHL
We are also into our final round of fixtures in our ESPN NHL league. In the what could be classed as minor shocks last week, based on regular season record, Paul Edwards’ “The Kessel Run” beat Andrew Savage’s “Andy Macho Men Savage” to advance to the final. On the other side Sam Avery’s “Belak’s Blaze” came from behind to beat James Rutter’s “Backstrom the Brink” on the final day. The Kessel Run and Belaks Blaze will fight it out over two weeks for the championship while the others play for a higher finishing position as possible.
