Gameweek 18 is now complete, so unless there are changes to the gamesheets prior to the gameweek change on Tuesday night, our first round of fixtures in the FHL UK Shield competition is now complete.

We had some close ties in group 1 with “Andy Savage Macho Men” and “GoFlamesGo” both winning by less than 15 points. “Andy Savage Macho Men” get a bye week for gameweek 19 while “GoFlamesGo” travel to “Bovrilheid Sharks”.
In group 9 our top weekly scorers “The Zambronies” sailed through their fixture and defending champions “No woman, no Krejci” got the win by just 3 points over “Where’s the goal IHC” in what is a tough group 19. Also in that group is last seasons FHL UK Cup Winner “Oeppen”.
Despite a low scoring week from our league leader “Yuill Ruddy Bast Ehrhardt”, they just about beat “Storming” by 9 points in group 10. “Yuill Ruddy Bast Ehrhardt” get a bye week while it doesn’t get much easier for “Storming” who play “Subbuteo Kings” who are ninth in the league.
It all isn’t over for those teams who lost the first week though as with 6 fixtures to play overall you can still make it through.
