This season our scouting department will be giving an update prior to the start of each game week to give you all the information you need to get your team top of the standings.
Roster Moves
No new signings this week now the signing deadline has passed, so lets look at who our GM’s have traded for over the last week.
Top of the list this week is Belfast goalie Jackson Whistle along with Sheffield defenceman Dominic Cormier who both gained six selections in the week and both are up to 83 selections on the year. Up next with another three selections is Nottingham goalie Jason Grande and those new GM’s will be extremely pleased with themselves as Grande scored a record 88.7 points in the week. Also with three selections are Guildford’s Travis Brown and Nottingham’s Cooper Zech.
On the other side, Kevin Tansey has been released by 8 GM’s with him currently not icing for the Steelers. There will be four GM’s kicking themselves as they traded away Mat Robson who then went and scored 50.1 points in the week.
Who’s Hot?
We have concentrated on individual players for most of this season but with only a few weeks left in the regular season it is more important to use those trades you have left wisely. Lets have a look at how many games each team has left, as the extra two games which some teams have could make a huge difference to your overall scores. In total each team will play 54 games in the season so here are how many each team have left –
Belfast – 11 games
Sheffield – 10 games
Nottingham – 11 games
Cardiff – 12 games
Coventry – 10 games
Guildford – 10 games
Glasgow – 12 games
Dundee – 10 games
Manchester – 12 games
Fife – 12 games
Our pick last week was Sam Herr and we had a good solid 37 points from him which was good enough for ninth overall in the week. This week we have a number of teams with three games but the forward with the most points in the league is Alexis D’Aoust and he is averaging 27.5 points over the last five weeks. Manchester have two games against playoff rivals Dundee along with a home game against Glasgow so lets go with Alexis this week.
